Overselling is the ability to alot unused resources to other accounts. Say you alot a customer 5 GB disk space and that customer uses 55 MB disk space, what a waste of disk space if it cannot be allocated in the future. However MaximHost does not over-oversell. If a server gets near full, accounts are moved to make room for growing accounts.
FTP?
FTP accounts are a certain. You have full FTP access to your home directory and can create seperate ftp accounts for subdirectories
What is Softaculous?
Softaculous is an auto installer similar to Fantastico de Luxe, except it offers a better user interface and more scripts for installation. If you need assistance with this, contact support. We install scripts such as Wordpress for free, including plugins and themes.
